KCS is designed to use smart contracts to connect clients and their suppliers, optimizing IT spending, and enforcing compliance. As a designer in this project, I was responsible for the UX/UI design of the new features.
Design challenges
Real-time interaction between clients and suppliers is required at project creation, order confirmation, and deployment, so two “parallel time zones” need to be taken into account in the user storytelling and wireframe design.
Design 1
Overview Dashboard
The design goal is to have an intuitive design, showing the most information that our clients want to know when their users first time open the dashboard.
Design 2
Order deloying process
According to the parallel user story, defined the steps of each interaction.
In addition to the ideal main storyline, there are a variety of possibilities to consider – what if the customer cancels the order at some stage? What if the supplier is unable to achieve on-time supply? What if the two parties disagree on the outcome of the execution? What if the supplier requires an extra cost increase in fulfilling the order? …
Design 3
Admin dashboard
The admin dashboard is an intuitive use of blockchain technology that allows users on both sides to track user data and clearly record financial information on both sides, preventing inconsistencies in their respective statistics.
This step requires a design to categorise all the information on the blockchain so that users can retrieve historical information intuitively and quickly.
